This device is what we call a tunnel web. These are built by hand and are real handy for getting animals out of walls or vaulted ceilings where no traps can be used. These are made of 1/2 inch galvanized hardware cloth. Inside the tunnel web is a one way comb constructed out of the same material that when the animal exits the device strokes it like a comb and feels pretty good to a Squirrel or Rat but if they decide to turn around and go back in then it becomes a one way deal. The animal just don't have enough arms & legs to move all of these prickly spines to gain entry.
